I am a Royal Society University Research Fellow and Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick. Previously, I was a Junior Research Fellow of the Christ Church College at the University of Oxford. I completed my PhD at
ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Sisto; I graduated with a Master's from the University of Bonn
and a Bachelor degree from the University of Turin.
My main research interest is geometric group theory. A suggestive description of the field, due to Ric Wade, is the following: [Geometric group theory] is about using geometry (i.e. drawing pictures) to help us understand groups, which can otherwise be fairly dry algebraic objects (i.e. a bunch of letters on a piece of paper).
I used to orgenize the geometric group theory seminar at Oxford. Moreover, I organised the conferences YGGT2024, Hyperbolicity and Generalisations, and Algebraic and Analytic Methods in Group Theory.
